Midwife

Our midwife is Jacquie Watson she is part of the Thornton team at Leicester Royal Infirmary

Antenatal clinics are held on a Wednesday 1.30 – 4.00 pm.
Antenatal care is “shared” with the midwife, GP and hospital involved.
 

You can choose to have your baby at the following hospitals:    

• Leicester Royal Infirmary

• Leicester General Hospital

• Burton Hospital

• Queen's Nottingham

• Derby Royal Infirmary

• Or at home if you so wish.

After you have your baby, a midwife will visit you at home on the day after you return home, and then at various intervals up to 1 month to check on the well-being of both you and your baby.  The midwives also help with breast feeding problems.
