The Health Visitors run a Baby Drop-in clinic on Tuesday 2-3pm.
The Health visitors are part of a wider community healthcare team. They are trained nurses, with specialist knowledge of babies, children and families. They are involved in Health promotion of all ages.
They will be pleased to help if you have any concerns
about your child's growth or development.
This includes:
eye-sight, hearing and speech problems
advice about potty training or bed wetting
behaviour, sleeping and eating problems
advice about diet and health
Health visitors can also give
support to families under stress, such as dealing with
loneliness, illness, depression including post-natal depression, relationship
problems, and domestic violence. If they cannot help you directly, they can
often pass you on to other specialists within the team.
